ARGH! Any way to get back my old paths??
HELP ... this is urgent...
as I am not going to enter about 50 paths again in RC.
I'd like it if RC could keep the paths I used in beta 2.
Tried beta 3 - beta 6 and always got either an empty path list or a mere 'No data files found select one from the menu' or similar.
Please (PLEASE) give the user a way to import his "old" paths.
Otherwise I will continue using b2 for all times, as I will not enter all this stuff again.
Thanks

Keep using the beta 2.... until I create an utility to move config from registry to ini file...

Have you started working on it Eric? If not, perhaps i could try creating one so you can concentrate on RC development. I can't promise anything quickly but i believe it won't take 2-3 years...RomCenter wrote:Keep using the beta 2.... until I create an utility to move config from registry to ini file...

No, not yet.
It would be great !
It's quite simple, registry and ini structure is identical.
Don't bother with new 2.70 entries, they will be created when needed.

after some testing...
... works nicely, but I had to mess with some ini files.
It seems that the creation of the .ini depends on the executable name.
I have three executables: romcenter.exe (2.62 stable) + romcenterb2.exe + romcenterlatest.exe.
Your tool made me a nice and shiny ROMCENTER.INI but Eric's program thought it was cleverer than yours and created a ROMCENTERLATEST.INI.
No wonder none of my settings were recognized.
I deleted romcenterlatest.ini and copied romcenter.ini (the one created by WRCSManager) to romcenterlatest.ini. All sorted now.

yes
This way you can have multiple romcenter versions with different ini files

Thanks very very much Wanderer!
This thread has attracted lots of attention it seems, so I don't seem to be the only one that needs this.

Hmmm, i'll try to do something about that.andy1 wrote:I deleted romcenterlatest.ini and copied romcenter.ini (the one created by WRCSManager) to romcenterlatest.ini. All sorted now.
