I have a strange problem with RomCenter. I hope someone can solve this problem.
After starting the program (installed or no-installed version) everything is grayed out:
- Pull-down menu's are shown but disabled (grayed out)
- Icons are shown but disabled
- RMB menu's are shown but disabled
- No databases shown
- No error message
Windows Vista x64
RomCenter 3.7.1 / 3.6.4 / 3.5.2 (install & no-install versions)
RomCenter 2.70 (this old one works)
The log:
=============================================
Welcome to RomCenter 3.7.1
Database Engine WI-V6.3.1.26351 Firebird 2.5
Template database version = 3,7002
Checking new romcenter version...

Re: RomCenter menu grayed out & no databases
Hi there.
You just have to create a new or open an existing database in order for the menus to become active. You must have a datafile, import it to a new database and everything will become enabled.
What systems are you interested in? Do you have a datafile for them?

Feeling stupid...like have you plugged in the cable and turned you computer on.
You're correct. File > New or File > Open starts the magic.
The provided datafiles are sufficient for my games.
