Re: Romcenter 4.2.0 beta 3 (now 64b !)
Mame arcade roms become stable and a rom manager is less required than before. It's hard to know how popular romcenter is. Is it worth spending more hours on it ? Should I release romcenter source code ? maybe... I'll add that, even though MAME ROMs are a lot more stable than in the past, there are ...

Is there a setting in Romcenter that allows files like dl_1425.bin to remain outside of their respective games?
This is a pretty obscure question. But here it is. Nowadays, dl-1425.bin resides inside qsound_hle.zip , and it is used by several Capcom games. I have the correct qsound_hle.zip file, and Romcenter shows it as such, but all of the games that require dl-1425.bin (1944, sfa, ddsom, etc.) all show in ...

Sorry for posting a known issue. I did a search on the forums, but it looks like I missed the other post.

CHD files showing as not working
I hope this question is not inappropriate... Anyway, I've noticed when using RomCenter with the latest dat files generated from MAMEUI (version 0.132), that the folders containing CHDs and the CHDs themselves now appear as red (not working), even though they have shown as green in the past, and ...

Re: RE: operating system directive CreateFile failed
Here are my results. Firebird-2.0.5.13206_rc: I was able to successfully start RomCenter and create a datafile with MAME. Firebird-2.1.2.18126_rc and Firebird-2.5.0.23250_rc: I get a runtime error, which prevents RomCenter from starting: Runtime Error! Program: C:\Games\Romcenter\romcenter.exe R6034 ...

Re: [BUG 3.20] operating system directive CreateFile failed
Confirmed. I tried with msvcp71.dll and msvcr71.dll, but otherwise the stock 3.30 files, and same error message.

Re: [BUG 3.20] operating system directive CreateFile failed
Works!
I had to move msvcp71.dll and msvcr71.dll as well, but after that the datafile was created successfully!

RE: operating system directive CreateFile failed
Thanks for your help on the new beta! I tried posting a reply to the BUG thread already going, but was not permitted to do so... Unfortunately, I'm still getting the same (sort of) error: Reindexing. pass 1/5 Database closed **Error :operating system directive CreateFile failed The system cannot ...

Re: importing mame DAT file problems
Which mame version are you using ? dixius99, do you also have a german windows ? I've tried with a few versions of MAME and MAMEUI since 3.20 was released, most recently 0.130. In fact, when I download the datafile linked to on Romcenter.com (Logiqx), the file won't load either. I'm running English ...

dixius99's post seems to be a problem similar to what's reported here. Both posts have been merged.
Thanks Wanderer.
I can also confirm that nearly all menu items are grayed out.
3.00 is working fine, though.

3.20 error creating MAME datafile from emulator
Hey guys. I searched around the forums for an answer to this but I can't find anything... After installing 3.20 (and 3.11 as well, I believe), and when I attempt to create a datafile from MAMEUI, I get the following error message immediately after pass 1/5: Database closed **Error :operating system ...
