I suppose some data in mame xml are incorrect, if you can find which one and fix the xml, it should load.
Maybe the log file can give some hints...

They should not be included. If they are, it's a mistake. I will check that.

Note that the db uses tmp files from the c drive, you must have free space there.
Also, current version of romcenter is still 32b. I'm working on a 64b version, hopefully it will solve these memory problems...

Samples are recognized by rc by their name. They should be in the correct file at first.
CHD are identified by their header sha-1 and are not zipped.

Hmm, these exceptions are sent directly from external libraries, so I don't think it could be easily translated.
I could catch them and then swap to a romcenter message...
For now, no need to translate.

Seems like an upgrade problem of a rdt (database) file from version 4.0.1.
Can you zip the database file and post it here ? The original one should be named with a '.old'.
You can create a new database from a dat/mame and it should be ok.
