go to the correct folder IF they are for different systems?

the problem i have is snes and nes and other roms are all mixed up :(

whats the best way to move it to the right folder eg:,
c:\rom\snes
c:\rom\nes
c:\rom\mame
c:\rom\etc...........

,
question2: im new to the old games many i'v never heard of, is the a place to learn about each system eg, neogeo

i want to keep folders for each system and make a list
im confused to what the ini files are refering to
i dont know which systems they are

thanx for any help

Hello and welcome to the forum.

I don't think there's an automatic way to do this. This may help though: If you can filter one system's roms, you can select all of them in the right-part of RC's window, rightclick on one of them and select Shell operations\Move files to... from the popup menu. That way, you can move all opf them in the folder you wish. Keep a backup of the roms somewhere and play around a little.

Hope it helps you...

To be fair, I think clrMAMEpro would do a better and faster job of this.

Simply adding a path to SNES roms such as C:\ROMS\SNES etc etc

And simply use the rebuilder function and select a source path eg C:\ROMSOURCE and place/move all your roms to this directory.

Click rebuild and it will take any recognised SNES roms and move, rename any roms it finds to your new folder which should be C:\ROMS\SNES

Repeat the process for each set of roms for each system and your set.
