Hi Eric
I was thinking, when working with RC, i usually have large paths in the tree part of the main window (left part). Because of the nature of the information that are presented in the right part of the main window, the arrangement is usually ~20% for the left part (the database tree and selected folders) and the remaining 80% is consumed by the right part. This however results to the truncation of the paths, sometimes making it difficult to be 100% sure you are working on the right path (you have to scroll the left window all the time). This could be easily solved if RC could have an option for horizontal splitting instead of vertical (db/folders tree on the top part of the window). I'd like to add this as a feature request. If it's easy and you decide to do it, i hope we'll see a new RC version soon.
Thanks

That's a good idea, and It could be added in the version 3.
About next version, I'm working on the version 3, but it is not yet ready. I think I will post alpha releases to validate some concepts.
I'm also tracking some bugs for a 2.71. So, keep reporting problems. Be sure I browse all new threads, even if I sometimes don't have time to answer.

Great. We'll be waiting for great new stuff from you. If you need any small external support-tools, feel free to ask.RomCenter wrote:That's a good idea, and It could be added in the version 3.

Well, since we are talking about bugs, there are some exception errors / access violations i (and others) keep receiving from time to time but it is impossible to duplicate them. They tend to appear after using RC for a long time (i.e. 30 minutes) and having loaded/unloaded many different dat files. I know, that doesn't say much to you but the general rule for me is to restart RC after i have used several dat files. Some other times, it shows things on screen that are not valid (show some files/roms as yellow on datapath section or show some files as missing in the database section) and if i restart it (or sometimes clear the cache folder), they appear correctly.RomCenter wrote:I'm also tracking some bugs for a 2.71. These things, although they are annoying, they do not keep RC from working just fine most of the time. I hope you can find and eliminate them in v3.
Have fun...
