Hi,
I have been using your program recently and would like to know
if there is a filter to remove duplicates
as in no more than 1 version of each game such as the (U) versions and excludes (E) (F) (G) (J) etc
Anyone? Thanks

Hi there and welcome to the forums.
Shall we assume you are talking about MAME datafiles?
In any case, you are probably talking about "main game sets" and "clones". Clones are not exact duplicates of the main sets, usually they have a few differences (some times a lot). I don't think there is a filtert to remove them from the database list. If you wish for them not to appear at all, then you can try creating a datafile containing only the "main game sets", without the clones. Try "mame -showusage" if you are talking about mame. You may also try logiqx's site
http://www.logiqx.com for some more info. His "datutil" utility is used by romcenter to create MAME datafiles - he is also a board moderator here. It may already have an option to create a dat without the clones.
If you need more help, just let us know.
