That is normal. This datafile (goodgen) uses a plugin to calculate a special crc. The plugin only calculates the crc on the real binary of the game, skipping rom file header. This way, identical games with different header are correctly identified.

In your case, your file is not known. It is probably a hack.

Did you not read our forums and main website?

RC 2.62 is no longer supported as RC 2.70 BETA 6 is out.

Always update to the latest version, test using that and if the prolem still persists then please continue to post bugs and glitches here on the forums.

solution is simple

If you have the correct bin file and your rc continues to mark it red then
go and replace this file without using the rc.Many times rc marks red some bin that I already have and I replace them from outside. The next time that rc read them again find it well(green).
I hope that I help you.

Sorry for my long absence.

I got some new question for this problem, but can't explain with my English ,too bad ;(
(In short , i cant take it a simple coincidence that CRC32[88524691] RC 2.62 displays is
identical to CRC that Winzip displays.)

This post could be a simple bug reporting if Eric says so , but didn't . lol
So this problem is still confusing to me , but not critical.

(Though 2.70b is out, as far as no reporting about this was found on
past articles, i think RC 2.70b successes this problem as potential.
But presumably, because RC 2.70b doesn't,Eric said as his post before.)

Thanks Eric & MAME COVERS for reply.
Thanks Alka for practical advice for this issue. For private reason ,
i still cant try it. But what i got to know others also had encountered
this problem, can be a good help for me to think this is not a problem
of my own PC or something :)
