It's a good idea, Logiqx. FYI, I'm actually looking for a heavy update on romcenter internal structure. This will change a lot of thing, and I hope it will allow easier improvment. I'm actually testing if it is fast enough... It will also change sublist process, so, don't spend a lot of time on it. ...

Actually no, no easy way to move setting from registry to ini.
If it is really needed (I mean, if a lot of user ask for it), I could make a small utility to convert.

The only way actually is to manually copy registry vlues and paste them in the ini file. Fields are identicals.

I checked with the galpanib.zip clone. Romcenter correctly handles it, the problem is, like Logiqx said, that no roms are specific to galpanib. The zip file won't be created during a fix operation because all roms needed for galpanib are also needed in the main set, and are moved here. But, if galpa...

I agree, that's no fun. However, you don't have to explain the source code. Just add a quick note that you don't want to answer questions about the source code and ignore any e-mails that ask for an explanation. I can't. I develop the code and I know exactly what I did and why. I have to explain so...

If I'm right, you want to purge the datafile from bad dump and overdump ? right ?
RomCenter can't do that, you must edit yourself or find a purged datafile.

You can do that with excel with a small macro for example.

I add it in the todo list.

I'm planning to add a 'load...' action in the menu to load a datafile (rc or clr). I could remove the datafile combo box and part of the datafile manager...
Tell me what you think.

It's not possible to change how rc rename roms. You must change that in the datafile.
You can do this with basics macro in excel. Load the datafile in excel, locate the long filenames and trunc them using a macro.
