We need to keep the updates coming in particular, a whole new full package complete with Logiqx's new DatUtil v2.44 released only yesterday (2/11/2008).
I'm worried that people that don't know how RC works will forget to update DatUtil and it give user problems.

REQUEST: ClrMame Pro DAT's
Eric, Is it possible for your NEW v3.0 version to incorporate clrMAMEpro dats? Obviously there are EXE's that convert them from clr to RC, but a nice touch would be to either use clr DATs straight away with no conversion or use your GUI to convert to RC and then import? RC's GUI is far better for Ne...

Well when I had the new version installed, I couldnt specify a rom file location because it was greyed out..so I couldnt import any mame files into the program to be checked. The 2.62 I still cant get to work right but at least it lets me specify a rom file. Is there some step by step instructions ...

I'm a little unsure why someone would want all the frills of screen shots etc that ecc provides. When I use a rom management tool such as RC or clrMAMEpro, I use it to verify my roms and rename and add where appropriate. I dont need all the extra info that ecc provides, only that my roms are correct...

Hello and welcome to the forum. I don't think there's an automatic way to do this. This may help though: If you can filter one system's roms, you can select all of them in the right-part of RC's window, rightclick on one of them and select Shell operations\Move files to... from the popup menu. That...

Well you get what you download, it hasnt been updated in years and from what I can see the authors dont care. If you w...

First of all, UPGRADE to the latest version of MAME (0.105)! Unless, your running MAME on a really old spec PC, there is no reason NOT to get up to date and use the latest binaries and associated ROMS. MAME is an evolving project like many others, some games which once worked in previous versions ha...

Re: Handle leak in Romcenter v2.70
Hello, when you command Romcenter v2.7.0.8 to process some ROMs in a directory, the number of handles Romcenter allocates increases, but they are never freed; e.g. I ended up with 20,000 allocated handles, then there was a GP fault. Are you using the FINAl version of RC 2.70? There were a lot of BE...

I have been playing from the Mame32 and not on RC. I use RC to rebuild the roms zips sets only. Maybe I need to use the Mame instead of Mame32 on RC to rebuild the roms zips sets. Maybe that is the problem right there that I not using the Mame. As you can see it freezes up bad. I have to del...

Its not a Romcenter problem, its your PC. You need to investigate further.KingHanco wrote:It start to freezing up now on Mame32 0.103u5.
I wonder why it started on the new update.
I have the lates DatUtil v2.26.
Maybe there too many roms and causes it to slowdown and lagging.
I'm using merge settings.

Eric, I could generate a delimited file for the web that lists my tools, version numbers and other useful info. e.g. DatUtil|v2.25|Updated|06/12/2005|dutil225.zip|293| All of this information is currently in XML that generates the web page. I could also invent another value that specifies the minim...

There are more troubles with RomCenter. Some new formats of codes cannot be recognized correctly by RomCenter. ClrMame may also have these new format troubles but it is updated more frequently than RomCenter. For example, there may be some codes like this: gamename A, romname D; gamename B, clone o...

ROMCENTER OPTION REQUEST: DATUTIL updater
Eric, I have noticed that Logiqx frequently updates the tools on his site fairly frequently. The problem lies when MAME changes something internally and Logiqx adjusts the tool to comply with the new code. We then have a problem where by RC doesnt create a compatible MAME dat file to verify any roms...

I'm using the original dat included with the 2.70. It tries to rename the rom with exactly the same name, without the extension. I would say then its a bug. It shoudl rename the file inside and rename it appropriately with the correct extention too. Persoanlly when it comes to renaming console roms...

Re: Romcenter Vs Kega fusion Vs rom.sms Vs rom.gg
But with the sms/gg ones, it strives to delete the extension of the roms (inside a zip file), which leads them to be unreadable for Kega. It's all the more curious since the genesis ones are named the right way (.bin, .smd). Firstly, what DAT file are you using to verify your roms? Secondly, what i...
