Re: Website layout broken?

Hi. Now that you mention it, i noticed that a couple of days ago when i visited romcenter.com, my browser somehow connected to it via http and everything looked fine. Now, when i connect to it, it immediately redirects to https and the site looks... not fine. :) P.S.: In firefox, if you "disable sec...

Re: Deleted files/roms etc, where do they go?

No problem. Have fun with it and remember, it's always good practice to have a backup of your roms somewhere. It's still not an official release, although as Eric (the developer) said, the final RC4 version should be out soon.

Re: Deleted files/roms etc, where do they go?

Might i request an option in the future to choose between eradicating deleted stuff, or deleting it to the recyling bin instead? Hi there and welcome. Such an option already exists. You will find it at menu File / Options, under section "Backup". You should find your deleted files in the folder men...

Re: How to "upgrade" to a newer version

Hi there,

Personally when upgrading RC4 version x to version y, i just copy the new files over the old ones and execute RC. This retains the old settings. Then, when opening a database, it is just upgraded to the new version (when necessary) and all paths are also retained.

Happy new year to you too.

AFAIK no. Eric is actively developing RC4 and correcting errors, even though the pace may seem a little slow due to Real Life commitments.

"issue tracker"?

Is that under "Bug Reports"? if so, i didnt as its not technically a bug.
Hi Ashley.

You can go to the bug tracker, press "create issue" (upper-right corner) and in the field "kind", select "enhancement" or "proposal".

Have fun.

Hi there. I can't say anything about the logic behind RC4 (since i'm not familiar with it), but i guess it may have decided that based on the contents of the zip. Maybe the file you put in it exists in "mariner", so it got confused...

Re: One-of-each option?

Hi.

Can't remember exactly where it is, but there is an option to select "main sets" or "clones", etc. I think it exists during the creation of the datafile. With that, you can filter your datafile to work only with the sets you wish.

Hi. What exactly happened? - Did rc1 work and you upgraded to rc2 which never worked? - Did you upgrade to rc2, worked for a while and now it doesn't work? RC2 works fine on my pc. Perhaps in your PC something got corrupted. You might try removing RC completely (also any folders that may exist under...

Hi and welcome. Interesting question. From a quick look, i too couldn't find any problem. It seems to be a well-formed xml at least, so Eric will have to say. The error produced by RC though, puzzled me. I know it's not always easy to achieve but it would be nice if it didn't only show the procedure in which the error occurred but also ...

Hmm....not much support here :( Hi. You'll just have to be a little patient. This (development-wise) is a one-man-show and sometimes there may be periods were real-life makes it difficult to be as involved as you wish with some things. I'm sure Eric will take a look at this, it just may take a whil...

Re: Bad roms names bug

That thread is very old and it's for a much older version of RC (probably RC2). RC's design and way it works has changed much over the years, so there's no point in looking in posts that are so old for help in recent versions.
