Have to agree. I have not used Good dats for some time now. No-Intro is awesome.Briareos wrote:This is why No Intro is popular

RomCenter Dats based on GoodTools are no more.
Here's the Story: Several months ago upon paying closer attention to the revised GoodTools License I discovered I was illegally providing RomCenter datafiles based on these renaming utilities. I immediately removed them from my site and requested permission from Cowering to continue offering these d...

Most of the Arcade dats are hosted at Logiqx's.
He recently made some changes to the site and may have inadvertantly changed the security settings for the datfiles. I'm sure this is just temporary.

The list would be to long to post here. It also depends on what system your looking for (SNES, NES, GBA, MAME, ect.) Most are homebrew. Some are very good quality and fun to play. All the old Vetrex game roms are public domain. Also if they are Public Domain status it means its alright to download t...

Ok, it would appear that my host has gone out of business, and locked my domain in the process. I had to update the config.xml to my new address. Config.xml Edit: I finally have the domain issue resolved but I have to use domain url redirect. This is not allowing my domain address to work with RomCe...

It would appear I've found a bug in RC. I was testing the new SMS/GG plugin and disabled the "fix file extension" under preferences. Now any file name with a (x.x).xx is being cut short. Examples: Ax Battler - A Legend of Golden Axe (J) (V1.5).gg is renamed to Ax Battler - A Legend of Golden Axe (J)...

Although I probably should have mentioned this before, I was having problems with RomRenter corrupting some of my MAME roms when trying to rename them. Since no one was mentioning this as a problem I thought it was insulated to my system. With the beta 6 release I am no longer having this problem. G...

The question was about how to use RomCenter. The point I was trying to make is whether a game is or is not "Warez" has no bearing to the question itself. I'm not here to continue a flame war.......if you want to, go ask MAMEdev and flame them. This is not my intention. From your posts it is quite ob...

Therefore, any ROM mentioned here on the forums that contravenes this ruling (ie the 3 year rule currently any game from 2003 onwards) will not be answered. I'm not trying to start any trouble, but what is the mentality behind calling a game that is 2 years old "warez" and one that is 3 "not warez"...

Updated Config.xml
For those who do not know what the Config.xml in RomCenter is: Basically it contains the internet links to game information sites ( Ceasar ) and datafile web updates. These are used when ever you click the little globe looking icon at the top of RomCenter, or download datafiles via the Datafile Mang...

I like to use the command prompt myself. :) You can do this by hitting the start menu and clicking on run. now type cmd. Now move to the directory that rombuild is in by typing: cd "rombuild directory" example: cd C:\romtools\rbuild22 now read the rombuild.txt for commands and options. Also keep in ...

RAR and ACE are types of compression. You will need to first "unrar" or "unace" the files and then zip them.
You can downlaod a shareware version of WinRAR, it handles both ace and rar files, at their site.

If your trying to use RomCenter to run this game directly it won't work. RomCenter is not an emulator. If trying to use RomCenter to launch an emulator make sure it supports direct game selection through command line. If you need an emulator try 1964 (Probably the best available) or Project64 (Works...
