MAybe .NET 5 is a better choice?
I have little experience with it but the goal is to be cross platform. I don't know about WPF which is used in romcenter.

Re: incomplete (rom missing)
Everything is clear except this: how does RC know in what rom folder it needs to fix the rom?
So in other words: will it fix the roms in the main rom folder using the ones in download folder or the other way?
Clrmame has a roms and download folder option but RC can just accept more rom folders.

Re: romcenter vs mame ROM check
I did use MAME.exe to create the database and use the same MAME to run it. So I did not use a datafile.
I don't understand why MAME does not complain about the wrong file names.

incomplete (rom missing)
Hi
Trying for the first time to fix incomplete (rom missing) ROMs.
Is there a folder we can choose that contains newly downloaded ROMs in order for romcenter to fix the incomplete ROMs by using the newly downloaded ROMs in that folder? (like clrmame)

romcenter vs mame ROM check
Hi
Can somebody read my question here?
https://bitbucket.org/ebolefeysot/romcenter/issues/236/not-really-an-issue-but-a-romcenter-vs
Is it correct MAME does NOT check file NAMES but only file size and file CRC?
How else to explain MAME runs this ROM detected "incomplete" by romcenter without any ...

software list support
Hi
Maybe a stupid question but I don't find software list games (the old MESS emulator) in latest romcenter.
Is this feature still being developed or do I need to enable an option somewhere?
thx

Re: -> Participate in Romcenter version 4 design!
Hi
After reading the while discussion about RC4 development, I was wondering if there is now a team of developers or if Eric is still the only developer (as refered to in older posts here when RC4 development was starting)
Thx

Hi
Are we allowed to make feature requests for latest 4 version and if yes, do I need to post those messages here or in another area of the forum

hi Eric!
Thank you so much for all the work on romcenter!
It's really a DREAM rom manager and I'm planning to post all bugs I find here in order to improve the program.
The lastest version with tons of fixes made it my default rom manager now. I especially like the user friendly UI with colors to ...

plugin development kit for C#?
hi
I saw there is a plugin development kit.
Is it mossible to write plugins in C# and if yes, is there a tutorial?
I can't figure out how to do it because my only programming knowledge is C#.
