Every button and menu option is greyed out.

I tried this but i could not reproduce it. However from the log data, it seems you tried to add a rom path without having a database open. You must first open/create a database and then add the rom path. Take a look in the tutorial for more info.

In my tests, when i tried to drag-drop a folder without having a database open, the folder was added but as ACiD GRiM reported, "every button and menu option is greyed out", and also all zip files in that folder are mistakenly reported as "corrupted".

In any case, drag-drop should not work when a database is not open so i'd consider this a bug.

Right, I must disable drag and drop when no database is loaded.

Sorry for being a noob, i'm packing for a trip to japan and don't have much time to search. So can I not use RomCenter to manage games for use in a flash card? I already have emulators on my NDS for all of the old school games I want. I just want a easy place to see which roms I have with icons and box art, does romcenter do these?

Yes, rc can check roms on external devices like cards.

And for isons and box arts, as long as you have datafiles, it is ok. (but I don't think such dat exists

)
