Romcenter newbie

I need help. This is my first time im using romcenter, but i just don't understand how to use it.

I've tried to follow the quickstart, but it's not working.
Am i supposed to select a .dat file? Or should i just add the one i want among all the other .dat files?
And if im supposed to select the .dat file, how do i do it?

On the quickstart it says: "Select 'open rom path' from the 'files' menu and select the path where you store your rom ."
Im assuming they mean File> Add Rom Path
But i can't select it, does this have to do with the .dat file?

Before you adding ROM paths you should select a ROM data.
Firstly put all of your data files in Romcenter's "datas" folder, then run Romcenter and select the one you want from the dropdown list which is to the right of toolbar.

Im so stupid, i completely missed the dropdown menu, now it's working just fine.

What's even more annoying is that i read a topic about the same problem earlier and everything worked out for him just well when he found the dropdown menu...

ah well, gonna go hit my head against something hard now, thank you
