When the infos I need will be defined, I will post a thread on the new format. I will even do it very soon so that everybody can put some ideas before I go to far in development. Note that the way I will process the datafile to load the database (external appli like datutil, standart (slow) xml pars...

Mamezip problem is not easy. I use a function I didn't write myself, and the bug is located in this function. I mailed the author about that and I hope I will get a solution... Logiqx, disks section in datafile is handled, but the chd is processed like a standart rom in romcenter. It means that rc w...

I might actually do this anyway so that information is not lost when converting to RomCenter format. Any thoughts Eric? Btw, CHDs do not always have '.chd' in their filename (according to the listxml) so they need to be in a seperate section rather than implied by filename. It's fine, Logiqx. Addin...

SNES plug-in license update.
dbjh, author of the SNES plug-in, erroneously used the GPL header in the SNES plug-in sources instead of the LGPL header. The new package with the corrected source files is uploaded. Nothing has changed except the license header, so it's still labeled r6. Here is a direct link to it : SNES plugin r6...

I use a trick to make renaming faster. I directly change the filename in the zip header. It seems the mamezip header format does not match standart zip header. First solution is to disable direct renaming, second solution is to find a way to detect a mamezip and disable direct renaming for these fil...

Yes, the drag & drop will make things easier. It is something I want to add soon... Maybe in version 3. I'm still testing a lot of thing for version 3. This is only the beginning, and I will rewrite some internal parts of the application to handle more things in the future. I'm afraid I will have to...

Hi RomCenter uses a plugin to identify a rom. The actual plugin only calculates crc. The chd support is possible if you know the crc of chd, and add them in the mame datafile. Unfortunatly, the crc is not available in mame.exe, and it can't be automatically included in datafile with datutil. Note al...

Corrupted files are shown with a special flag, and the error message is displayed in the info column. You can select all these files and 'unzip and rezip' them in one click. Most of the time, you can save some roms with this command, but there are always one which is corrupted, and an automated proc...

RomCenter build the datafile from your emulator (a special build of mame or kawaks I presume). This datafile shows that this emulator have bad filename informations. There is nothing I can do about that. You can't build that romset according to datas from the emulator. :toobad: The temporary solutio...

Note also that you can use the 'split' or 'un-merged' mode to bypass the problem... :?: :!: I'll try it... :P Yes, if you are in merge mode, you have no clones files, just one big file with all roms for that game and all its clones. If a duplicates rom exists, it will make some trouble. If you spli...

Wanderer, the 'copy n' trick is only needed on roms. Two files with the same name are the same file. The problem raises when two roms have the same name in one zip. You can't have two roms with the same name on a zip file. You can drop one of them, or rename it to store it. I choose the second solut...

The 'copy n' is added as soon as a rom with a same name than another one in the game is added to the database. For example, if the datafile gives pacman.zip - pcmn.bin crc 12341234 - pcmn.bin crc 56785678 Then, romcenter will record pacman.zip - pcmn.bin crc 12341234 - pcmn copy 1.bin crc 56785678 A...
