Hi, you can create a custom dat by editing the dat file. It is text file. Simply keep your rom selection and import it in romcenter.

Yellow roms are fixable by selecting them and clicking the 'fix' button.
Bad dump means there is no good dump available and you must stick with it until a new one appears.

Hi, images/defaultsystemicon.png is not part of romcenter, did you try to create the file in romcenter folder ?
With 4.2b, did you create a db from scratch ?

Hi, you can drag and drop the 'parent game' column into the 'drag a column...' area. This will group all games by their parent game.

I suppose some data in mame xml are incorrect, if you can find which one and fix the xml, it should load.
Maybe the log file can give some hints...

They should not be included. If they are, it's a mistake. I will check that.

Romcenter get the rom files database from a datafile or directly from an emulator like mame.
The datafile must match the emulator you want to use for the games to be correct.

You delete roms are in the bin, so you can get them from there. You can also set a backup ...

Note that the db uses tmp files from the c drive, you must have free space there.
Also, current version of romcenter is still 32b. I'm working on a 64b version, hopefully it will solve these memory problems...

Samples are recognized by rc by their name. They should be in the correct file at first.
CHD are identified by their header sha-1 and are not zipped.

You can find a beta version in another thread which fix that issue.
I'm still working on the next version. I'm adding full devices support, but it's really a mess to handle like mame does
